Winn Hong is the North America Venture Manager atNokia Ventures and the Cofounder, President, and CEO of Mesencyte Inc. Withover 18 years of experience in high-tech innovation, entrepreneurship, andleadership, he has successfully guided ventures across biotechnology, medicaldevices, alternative fuel, and digital technology. A Fellow of the AmericanInstitute for Medical and Biological Engineering, he has held key rolesincluding Deputy Executive Director at the Alfred E. Mann Institute forBiomedical Engineering at USC and Senior Technology Strategist at UCLA’sInstitute for Technology Advancement.

Earlier in his career, Hong worked at NASA’s JetPropulsion Laboratory, contributing to the design and testing of advancedsensors for military, medical, and space applications. He later served as COOof Sega.com, Ltd. and Principal at Convergent Ventures, managing early-stageinvestments in life sciences and technology. He holds an MBA from theUniversity of Chicago, an MS in Mechanical Engineering, and a BS in AerospaceEngineering from UCLA.
