Bio
Lisa Walke, MD, MSHA, is the William Maul Measey–Truman G. Schnabel, Jr., MD Professor of Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology and chief of the Division of Geriatric Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. Her research centers on developing, implementing, and evaluating innovative models of care for older adults, with a focus on improving outcomes and quality of life in aging populations.
Dr. Walke earned her undergraduate degree in sociology from Harvard University, her MD from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of New Haven. A former Yale faculty member (2003–2018), she completed her residency at Montefiore Medical Center and her fellowship in geriatric medicine and clinical epidemiology at Yale. An American Geriatrics Society (AGS) Fellow, she was named AGS Outstanding Mid-Career Clinician Educator of the Year in 2017 and currently serves on the Association of Directors of Geriatric Academic Programs Board and the American Board of Internal Medicine’s Geriatric Medicine Board.
