As thehead of Digital Health, Hon Pak, M.D leads the Global Digital Health Strategyand Team. His focus is to leverage Samsung’s digital footprint across multipledevices and its strength in consumer experience to transform this consumerexperience into patient engagement to improve outcomes. Prior to joiningSamsung, Dr. Pak served as Chief Medical Officer for 3M HIS where he led theclinical economics research group, which developed content that is being usedboth payment and measuring outcomes for healthcare systems across the globe. Hehas experience in mobile health, telemedicine, and health IT in variouscapacity to include as a researcher, board member, CEO and CMO. He served inthe US military for 26 years, and he was the Army’s first Chief MedicalInformation Officer and physician Chief Information Officer for the U.S. ArmyMedical Department (AMEDD). He is a past board member and past president of theAmerican Telemedicine Association, and he currently serves on the editorialboard for Telemedicine and eHealth and on the Consumer Technology AssociationHealth Board.
