Bio

Andrea LaRue, JD, MPA, is managing partner and co-founder of NVG LLC., where she combines political skill and legislative experience to move the needle on some of the hardest fought and most contentious issues in Washington. She advises clients across many sectors—including life sciences companies, international unions, and nonprofit organizations. Prior to co-founding NVG, LaRue served as counsel for Senate Democratic Leader Tom Daschle and for the Senate Rules Committee. She developed and implemented legislative strategies for the Senate Democratic Caucus on key domestic issues including judicial nominations, reproductive rights, intellectual property, campaign finance, labor policy, immigration, and privacy. On behalf of Senator Daschle, LaRue worked directly with members of the Senate and House, as well as high-level representatives of both the Clinton and George W. Bush administrations.

LaRue previously practiced labor law and served as a law clerk for U.S. District Judge Frank A. Kaufman in Baltimore, MD. Additionally, she has extensive experience as a political organizer, having managed two successful congressional races, for Congressman Michael A. Andrews in 1992, and for Congresswoman Louise Slaughter in 1988. She completed her JD at the University of Texas at Austin, where she also earned an MPA from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs.
