In May 2025, the a2 Collective was pleased to respond to the National Science Foundation's request for input on the revision of the National Artificial Intelligence Research and Development Strategic Plan (2023 Update). The a2 Collective's response emphasizes the value of public–private–academic initiatives to accelerate AI innovations with societal benefit; the federal government's unique role in catalyzing, sustaining, and optimizing research innovation and infrastructure; the importance of cross-agency coordination and data sharing; and the critical need for AI advances that support the United States' growing population of older adults.
